Students who started out shy and unsure learn to look people in the eye, speak up in class and stand up for themselves and others. Confidence earned on the mat shows up everywhere in their life.

The same discipline it takes to earn a belt carries into homework, chores and goals. Parents tell us their kids listen better, focus longer and finish what they start. Structure at the dojo becomes structure at home and school.

Every single year, Team GMA athletes climb podiums at the provincial, national and world championship level. Kids from Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph, standing on the world stage, representing their team and their country.
But here is the part that keeps us up at night. For some families, that journey comes down to an impossible choice. No child should ever have to pick between having a birthday party with their friends and representing their country on the world stage. Your support makes sure they never have to. Team GMA Foundation is the not for profit behind Team GMA, the official competition team of Shamuon Generation of Waterloo and Hotshot Athletic in Cambridge, Kitchener and Guelph.
Our instructors see it every week. Martial arts builds discipline, respect and perseverance in kids faster than almost anything else. The Foundation exists to make sure every young person gets that chance, not just the ones whose families can afford it.
Donations fund sponsored training spots, community classes and travel to competition, from the GMA Championships all the way to provincials, nationals and the world championships, where our kids learn what they are truly capable of.
